So basically, I took my car to a body shop yesterday to have them look at the rust I have around my back windsheild. The guy there looked at if for about 2 seconds before telling me that it wasn't worth it to fix it. He then explained why, it's cause of how the inside shape of the hatch is around the windows... so baiscally he said it wasn't worth it to fix it, because it would be way more expensive then finding a new hatch at a junkyard or something and the rust would just come back again anyway. So, I used car-part.com and found a hatch for $300. I've contacted them, they haven't gotten back to me about it yet. but ANYWAY, the new hatch is white, my car is teal... so I'm gonna have the whole car painted, now, my driver's side fender has considerable damage on it and I think I should replace that as long as I'm having the car painted. In the same salvage yard (off the same car I assume, since it's also white) they have a fender... but they are charging like $130 for it. I figure, I can get a PAIR of Z3 fenders for $170 on andysautosport.com but I dunno. I think they look ok, but maybe a little ricey. What do you guys think of Z3 fenders on a 6gc? (the rest of the body, for the time-being at least, is remaining stock, save for a carbon fiber hood maybe)

i say z3's need a body kit, i think it would look goofy with a fairly stock, and some z3's...i like where u are going, with repaint and get some stuff, but just z3's would look odd IMO.

I personally like the D1's because not everybody has them, But if i was JUST goin by looks, the Z3's definately take the cake. I say go with it.

i had a pair of z3's and man i hated them. First off, getting them to fit was a complete b*tch! Then, people dont realize that they are fiberglass and they lean on them and crack them and just a bunch of other stuff. I also just hate fiberglass! lol. If i hadnt used them for target pratice with a 30-06 then i would've prolly given them to you. But then again there are cars like itchy's that are really nice with z3's so the choice is yours.

I don't want them to crack if people lean on them... and I also agree that Z3 fenders would look better with body kits. alright... so the plan is, if I can find a great condition (no dents! paint damage is ok though) driver's side fender for $85 or less then I'll stick with that, if not, I'll spring for the Z3's or the D1's. so if anyone is selling a fender, let me know!

Hate to be the odd man out but you did ask for opinions I would pass on the fenders. I think it distorts the smooth lines of the car... Thats just me though

I don't like the Z3 fenders, it belongs to the BMWs and Minis....

(no offense to z3 fenders just my opion).i don't like the z3, IMO the z3 fenders doesn't look right because the celica is round and bubble shape to it. i think z3 fenders look good on boxed shape cars.

I dont know about the z3's without bodykit but in some cars with invader kit on this site those things look really good. -N
