High Beam/Parking Light - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #41017 23 posts Started by Promid-Knyte
So me and my friend, have a celica, and an integra, and he was looking on TeamIntegras Fourms, and he found a guy who converted his High Beam headlight to a Parking Light as well... i cant find the link for it, but if any of you have heard about this? do you think it would work for the 6g, as it does for the tegs with similar headlight config.

but why would you want to do that, i don't see the why.
well because it looked 'neat', the high beams still worked fully functional, and all you had to do was drill a hole in the side wall of the high beams, and wire in/with, an amber parking light so to speak, it looked pretty cool on some cars, not sure how it would look on celicas, but who knows...

That's how the projectors are setup. I think it might look cool, but I like alot of lights. I have thought bout running my highs as lows so I could have all 4 on at the same time.
a member in here has done it before....where the highbeams are on without the lowbeams beening on???...a member from canada has done it because it was required or something like that....but ill search for it to see if i can find it.

ok why in the hell would u do that? especially if u had jdm headlights!!!!u pay almost 1000 for them and now u wanna drill holes in them......have u gone completly mad? wheres the common sense.

One could assume that it is simply for look, and unique-ness..... i was just wondering if it was at all possible, and what might it take to do so... haha it is kinda weird though

its pretty easy to do,
just start with a small drill bit and slowly work your way up to the size of a 194 light bulb.
then you can wire it up to your normal parking lights via the same gauge wiring should take about 30 min start to finish from bumper removal, to bumper reinstall
if u did it liek the teg does...its pretty much easy to do......
I did this a few years ago. I used a 194 bulb and it wasn't all that bright.

they come stock for all canadian 6th gens fyi. no mod needed.. i think K-ESD's got the answers to this.. i'm guessing there's an extra relay on them somewhere???

they immediately go on when you put it to gear. looks better than they are off.

That's a neat idea! This reminds me of a guy over here in Altamonte Springs. He isn't on the forums but he has a 6gc and he converted his High Beams to have his Low Beams bulbs and the Low Beams with his High Beams bulb. That looked really neat too!
so let me get this right...we can change the high's and make it low...but can we make the high lights for both the low's and high's?...turning the high when you need all four lights to be low's and hence, when in need of the high's change them to be high...turning them on as high beams? (basically, asking if we can have the high set to both high and low beams when needed)...?

i just did this to my car not to long ago(yesterday) but i made my hi-beams into blinkers. check out some pics i took. its not that difficult. i used the housing from another set of blinkers so i would be able to change out the bulb when needed. i still have full function of all lights hi beams and lows. i even have the side markers blink at the same time for a more practical mod.

hahaaha...good expression azian...now that i was reading it...it doesn't seem to make sense anymore...lol...it was too early in the morning...

What i really meant to say was: Can we make all the headlights (lows and highs) work as low beam headlights, but still manage to press the high beam headlight switch and pop the high headlights back to its original high beam...? if this still doesn't make sense...oh well...guess not...
you probably have to install a second set of lights in your high beams if you want them to be both lows and highs. or you can just turn your highs into lows and your fogs into highs.

ss-iii splitters and 404 skirts areon. which means i need to update my sig.
