Ok, heres the list so far

Turbo: Hx35w check
3" turbo back check
Hydra Nemesis EMS v2.5 with Wideband and Boost control solenoid.
2.5" intercooling piping
600 x 300 x 3" bar & plate FMIC check
SARD 800cc injectors
Wolfcatz sidefeed rail
ATS Racing Throttle Body Inlet
Walbro 255 check
Cometic HG check
ARP headstuds check
wolfcatz FPR
fidanza cam gears check
external WG

now this comes down to me being lazy. i dont wanna pull the head again. but i will if if i have too.
eagle springs only 93 bucks from ats
and ferra 1mm OS valves 174 bucks. thats cheap for the power and rpm gain without floating.
then some 264's because i still want daily drivablity. but yeah im not going ghetto and doing things right woo woo and i have support from my dad who wants to build this with me.

Uh.. what am i forgetting.

wolfcatz FPR = Aeromotive fpr

um might wanna look into an rmr intake mani will help a LOT. along with a 3rd gen tb.

other than that you might wanna switch to a top feed fuel rail instead of the side feed.

other than that it looks like a clean bolt on build.

if you want a cheap fuel rail option and dont mind getting the side feeds. ATS makes a bored out stocker rail for like 75$ plus a 125$ core. And i think your car is down right now so you could send that in without issue.

and do the shimless

94' ST Coupe - 5sfe Motor swap and brake swap.
the bored ats fuel rail will be suitable for 800cc injectors? if so then yeah ill will go ats. i saw it on their website says they used them with 550cc's so i'm not sure what the rail is rated for. im also gunna check out the top fed rail didnt really think about that. as for the TB i have friend giving me a 70mm 5.0 mustang one. standalone should be able to make it work right? i assume so anyway. hopefully i get everything done and tuned by may.

i think for that much fuel, you might want top fead injectors with a top feed rail.

the rail ats "makes" is just a stock 3sgte rail thats been bored out.

Agreed. Get a real rail. Either Wolfkatz, Speed Source, or Hux.

How much CFM does that turbo push? What are your horsepower goals?

QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

"The Holset is the only turbocharger available with a "Map Width Enhancement" groove. This groove is machined into the inlet of the compressor housing to allow air to be fed to the second set of blades on the compressor wheel. This increases efficiency and overall air flow by more than 10% over a standard compressor housing". honestly there arent any good maps for it. i found this one.
but on average people see 450-500flyhp on pump gas at 18-22psi. my goals are anything over 350whp the closer to 400wp the better. i also want to be realiable though. check out this site selling the holset hx35 for dsm use. www.dsmparts.com

At those power levels, I would not run without forged pistons. Also, at those power levels, the word "reliable" is very relative....but you know that.

john, the one thing i see missing is reputable tuning. with those kind of power goals, i wouldnt trust the tuning to someone who doesnt speciaize in the 3sgte

might want to upgrade the tranny
not to mention a full rebuild of the motor with forged pistons.

while the subject was just brought up, would you guys recomend the ROM tuning ATS has going on their site? I looked at the page that asks for your cars mod so they can make a map for you. I just wanted to know if this was a good way to go for someone like itchy b who wants 350+hp or someone like me who wants a lot less, 280hp to the floor?
the rom tunes wouldnt do me any good at all. it cant run larger than 550 injectors and nothing can compare to a full ems system for tuning. as for your power goals a rom tune would be fine.

Also some good news. im going with eagle springs on the stock valves for now. i wont need to pull the head this way and can run aftermarket cams with the stock valve/eagle spring combo.

the rom tune wouldnt work for as big of a project as itchy is talking about. for that you need a standalone and hours of tuning time.

search mr2oc for "rom tune". honestly, im not at all a fan of it. ive seen more then one person post that their car was way to lean after installing their ecu. i think they tune them way too agressive, to try to get their customers some kind of gains they will feel, but at the same time, they risk major damage to the motor. only way i would do a rom tune, would be if i could go to ats in person with my own car and have them tune it on the spot.

Very nice project your planning. I would like to know what your plans are for traction. Something like a Racelogic TCS or gear/speed controlled boost management?

JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!
