Just wanted to post some pictures cause I'm finally pretty happy with the car...


2-1/2 years ago this was my new car...

97 Celica ST Auto 126,310 miles
pinstripe, dull paint
hole in the headlight
4 completely different tires
non-working cassette/radio, alarm system, corner light

^ a little dirty



a few years and a couple modifications later and it's like having a whole new car...

97 ST 165,000+ miles
95 Manual tranny 85,000+ miles
wet sanded/compounded
pinstripe removed
all new headlights
Enkei RS5 wheels with 4 matching tires
Tein S-Tech's & KYB's
Alpine head unit, alarm w/ lcd remote
etc...






of course I've still got my complaints and there are a few more things I'd like taken care of...
[i.e. drums to discs in the rear, new seats, refinish/repaint some things, contemplating a sunroof, etc]
but overall I'm finally happy with where it is now

Looks very good, although I don't think installing an aftermarket sunroof is a wise move.

Makes me want to do what you did to your paint to mine.

Now come the little things like jdm tails, and tint. I think if you added some dark tint it would add alot to the car. A much wiser move then an aftermarket 800 dollar sunroof. Im a jdm tail nut though, i hate the way the stock tails look, and think jdm tails are a must...

i had it professionally compounded about 6mo after i got it. cost about $100, but you could probably do it yourself. it was well worth it, the car looks cleaner even when its dirty and has a nicer shine to it

i actually like the USDM tails, i think it goes with the car and the color. if the price is right id consider getting JDM tails but then id have to go all out and get the clear corners and projectors to make it work. IMO

yup. got the wheels and tires from someone on newcelica.org for 400 shipped from cali. the tires were sh!tty and tiny so i ended up getting new ones anyway.

very nice. those are the newer version of Randy's (97lestyousay) rims, i believe his are RP02
i think we came to the conclusion that they are an older version of mine...thats just a guess though
