i understand the concept. but uh...for daily driving, isnt that bad? structural integrity not harmed? cwm13.gif

if you read the article- they did the extent of the work aft of the front and rear suspension - and beefed up the parts involved w/ the car's "structural integrity" w/ 2nd layers of OEM honda steel. You just have to read it in totality.... it's ingenious
is the roll cage welded to the front windshield frame? is that strong enough to hold a roll cage effectively? It seems really interesting... maybe my convertible has more plans in store...haha jk, im not ready for this kind of a project. laugh.gif
smile.gif i cant help but looking at that s2k over and over and over and over....haha wink.gif
There's a difference between a "race" car and a "driver" car. You have any idea what sort of time/money it takes to lighten a unibody chassis? If not... let's just let it go.

not to mention how badly that car would crumple up in an impact, im sure that as soon as the accident investigators saw the chassis, your insurance wouldnt cover your injuries from the crash.

Its actually signifigantly stronger than stock. The point of chamfering is to make it so the metal cannot bend on a single axis.

Its pretty much the best of both worlds. Strength, and lightweight. Oh and the s2k has a completely CF body.

well then the crumple zones wont work right! either way thats grounds for insurance to deny claims. just taking out your airbag can do that!
