Yesterday night I rolled slowly into the drive thru of a Jack in the Box with my RPM fluctuating up and down, back firing, muffler missing, and all that nasty stuff... The dude at the drive thru stick his head out of the drive thru window, stared at my car from front to rear, listening to my car rumbling, back firing, waking up the whole wide world.. and said to me "Go damn! How many horse power does your Celica have?"... I was like.. "uh.... 105?" He stared at me unbelievably... "one-o-five?" He paused for a while, and replied.. "Wow nice car though, it looks... um and sounds really powerful."


haha..


yea.. so that's my sad sad story because I think I overated my car with 105.... *sigh*

check your spark plug wires, i bet one is loose or broken.

haha i love it when people mistake running crappy, IE. backfiring and rpm fluctuation (when you dont have cams) for the sound of performance. awesome man.

probably the guy though the sound was your BOV.

I had two brother arguing about my car, I was standing next to them ( they didn't know it was my car )

The bigger brother said it wasn't a Supra and the little one said It's just like the supra I have on the game. then they walk to the car and read my celica badge on the back. the bigger brother smack the little one on the shoulder and said "I told you it wan't a supra".

ya the other day i went with a friend of mine cause he was buying a car, and we drove my car there and the guy selling the car thought my car was a supra, he was like, so what all do you have done to your supra, it looks awsome!

i was insulted last night by a guy telling me i wanna get a mustang too what year is yours. my jaw dropped in disbelief... and then i told him what it was and he laughed and said sorry man it sounded like you had a v6 in there when you pulled up. imo not at all but whatever

I've had my car mistaken for a Supra once before. Guy says, nice car man, is that a supra? I told him yes, and drove off. I wonder if he read the rear badge.

I was autocrossing once.. talked to a 240 Guy.. he asked what my time was.. I was like xx.xxx his response.. " damn that close to mine! those V6's are mean!" o.O I responded with huh I have a 1.8!

shoulda told him you had a supra engine! ahahha

lol people never knwo what the heck im driving, especially w/ the shaved emblems....everyone is clueless, ppl ask if its a supra, and one time some guy asked me what year integra i had....i jsut looked at him, laughed and said "its a celica buddy"

Had loads of random guesses at mine & some worry me but never get comments about the sound as it's very raspy & runs about 200bhp !

ha, i had a collapsed lifter on my cougar back in the day, so it was missing on one cylinder....at that point i had a turndown in front of the axle (it was loud) and the thing actually did sound like a v8 with a cam from all the stumbling. too bad it was an inline six.

get your car fixed btw. no more jack in the box until it's healthy again!!

lol. i love getting the supra/really fast car compliments. especially when someone rides in my car for the first time and think its the fastest car in the world. they may never know how fast (slow) my car actually is.

I always tell people that ask that I have "75hp of fury!"

Nobody in my family knew what a Celica was till I pulled up in the driveway. They figured they started making them in 2000 when the 7th gens came out. I laughed. i took my mom for a ride (She drives a 95 Mercury Sable or something) and she was like HOLY ****, THIS THING MUST HAVE A V8 IN IT?

It was a fun couple of weeks after, makin fun of her for that one.

I wanna say thank you LewFX for IMing me and taught me how to fix the problem with like manuals and such.
