1. Reverse lights Doesn't come on. (Checked the switch fine installed new tails still no luck...)
2. Gauge won't light up. (Put new dimmer in still no lights ??....hmm...must be related to the fuse that keeps blowing...)
3. 7.5 panel keeps blowing dunno what the prob is... (They're must be a short somewhere...)

I haven't wired anything up these probs are the same ones I've had since I bought the car I'm getting frustrated now I'm not to good with elec problems thats why I'm stumped....any help/advice ??

UPDATED: Everything fixed !!!! thanks to those people that gave me tips and advice also part# lol
Updated: Reverse Lights fixed just needed a new switch thanks to batman for the part#.

do you have anything aftermarket, like a stereo or alarm/starter module? if so, those might be the first places you'll need to check.

I do have an aftermarket cd player in the car....their could be some wires being grounded thats not suppose to be...I'll check it out thanks for the advice azian_advanced.

Ok took the whole cd player out and put it back in no probs their...hmm...anything else I should check ??

I tested the wires and it looks like they still work I also took out the switch (with that ball bearing thing at the bottom) it looked fine but how can you tell if its bad or not ?? or should I just find a replacement and see if thats the problem ?? sorry 6gc are ultra rare to find one at the junkyard here in mn...or if someone has the item number for it ??

Edit: wait will the reverse switch from a 5gen 5sfe work ?? or one from a camery cause they also had the 5sfe too right...hmm...

Yeah it was the switch ordered a new one from dealership thanks to batman for the part# solved one problem 2 more to go.

ALL DONE !!!! All the elec problems have been fixed !!!! Thanks for everyone who gave me tips and advice thanks a bunch !! slowly piecing my celi back to health.

hey guys, sorry to bring up an old topic, but i just found out tonight that i got no reverse lights, anywayz long story short, i recently lost 5th and reverse gear, brought the car in to get some little piece of plastic or something for my gearbox, got my car back, now i only just noticed i got no reverse lights. I'm pretty sure it's not a blown fuse, could there be something disconnected on the gearbox area that could cause this problem? It might be the same problem as Remy but i'm not sure what it looks like, anyone got a picture or something that can help me out? Thanks heaps in advance
