Supposily My friend has a 6 speed tranny for my celica. Its a JDM 6 speed Tranny... Is it possible? I haven't researched for celica's that have a 6 speed transmission... But if so, you think its worth the swap?

Only 6-speed tranny I've heard of for a S-series engine is the Altezza's 3S-GE. But that was meant for RWD. You friend might be bs'ing you.

A 6-speed FWD trans used by the S series motors doesn't exist. Perhaps he has a 6-speed trans out of a 7th generation SSII with the 2ZZGE or perhaps the C5x (can't remember the second number) used by the overseas levin that has 6 speeds.

The latter would work with a 6th generation celica, but only if you had an "A" series motor in your car.

no, it wont work. there is no 6speed tranny that will work in our cars. just get a 5speed from a celica GT, or the lsd tranny from the mr2turbo.

Thanx for the info. Also what year MR2? or is it just the mkii? I guess i'll look for a 5sp tranny from a MR2 or a celica. The LSD (what does that stand for by the way) tranny would bolt right up?

but wait a sec, it would be easier to look for another celica GT. I need more than the tranny from the MR2..

However if i get the tranny from the MR2... is there someone who can help me get the individual items?
