Is this good enuff 4 ya? :D
Im going to assume if you can afford the 1 million base price you can afford jet fuel. Its not for the common buyer its for the millionare who has more time and money than god.
"Remote control commands are provided via a set of computer consoles and connected via hardwire umbilical cable to the aircraft. The controller (pilot) provides input commands to the onboard computers to control the altitude and orientation of the Skycar during a flight. The umbilical line is approximately 300 feet in length, although the aircraft has been flown only to an altitude of approximately 40 feet. The onboard computer systems provide instructions to the engines via a “fly-by-wire” system designed exclusively for this one-of-a-kind aircraft. Feedback from the onboard systems is provided to the command consoles and provides detailed diagnostic and real-time flight condition information to the ground crew. Although the Skycar® prototype was designed for an onboard pilot and is equipped with cockpit-mounted controls, it has been flown only unmanned using the remote controls. Two command consoles and a third system used to remotely set Engine Computer Units (ECU) parameters are included in the sale of the prototype M400."

Remote control toy for flying
there 22bids and bid is at 1.8 million.

Damn rich asses...
it doesn't work, it's pointless to bid on it besides bragging rights. it basically hovers in air for a little bit, then floats to the ground. it can't support the weight of people, because the engines are weak.

the 'flying car' most likely won't be a reality for another 50 years, and even then, would you really trust people in them?

if it actually worked, i could see how people would be interested in this.
the thing runs on 87octane, thing must eat a lot of gas!
lol man this thing is sweet, if i only had 2 mill laying around haha

You would pay 2 million for the thing?
^ yeah really, like its cool and all but takes like 90 gal an hour or something high like that, and cant actualy fly, its a nice museum peace but thats about it.
how come they say it can go 380mph if it's connected to a cord? hahaha. And how do you stop a floating car going 380mph? with an anchor?
I was checking the status of the auction the other day and I came across a question asked. I thought it was very funny and couldn't stop laughing. LOL

Q: is it possible to fit parking sensors to assist with landing in shopping centres (the misses wrote of my mk1 golf like that) thank you

A: The M400X prototype does contain a number of sensors, but none specifically for that purpose. We anticipate to equip the next generation prototypes with a wide array of sensors, high-resolution cameras, and perhaps a new form of low cost radar that could assist with landing maneuvers. We envision a time when the landing sequence would be fully automatic, or nearly so.
^^^omg, lol...he had to be kidding

"I bet you drive a standard." "You could make some money off that bet." :D
I like that last question...

"Does it come with a Flux Capacitor or similar?"
