Yes. I'm getting mine painted. My car will hopefully be done friday so you can see what the zyclone cf hood will look like painted. I didn't like the cf with my red car.

i was thinking about buying the vis cyclone cf hood.....but idont want the look of carbon fiber on my white car, even thou alot off ppl like it...i kinda like the solid one color. does anybody know the exact process needed to paint it??

My bodyshop said that all they are going to do is lightly sand down the clear so they can spray primer over the whole hood. Then they paint it and clear it. and KB-2 thats exaclty how i feel with my zyclone hood. I like the style of it but i don't like my car being red with black looking hood.
I saw a pic a few months ago of a burgundy/maroon colored car with a CF hood that had a thin layer of burgundy/maroon painted on it, so that the CF pattern still showed through up close, but from a distance the hood had the same hue as the rest of the car. Definitely another option that looks cool, but I'm not exactly sure how it was done or where I saw it.

some day i plan on getting an oem style cf hood and hatch and painting them black like the rest of my car. i love the cf look, but i'm more of simple kinda guy. plus it makes the car more like a sleeper (assuming people think our cars are fast).
