need afm identifying help - 6G Celicas Forums

Hey guys, well i bought another AFM for my 91 ST185. After removing my old afm and comparing them, i notice that the AFM i just recieved is smaller than my current AFM. The plugs are the same so i decided to try to install it anyways. The car idles MUCH smoother than before, and can stay running by itself! The idle is a bit high (1000rpms), and i still think it is running a little rich. I think this could be cuased becuase the afm i have now works, but it's just not the right one for my car. The inlet and outlet of the new AFM are smaller than my old one. Can anyone tell me what car this AFM is from so i can know what to label it as when i sell it? Here are some pics.

where did you get it from? seems like an older afm if u compare to my part numbers. i have 2, one jdm 90 and one from a USDM 91.

90 jdm = 2225074170
91 USDM = 2225074220

i bought it from a member here, CelicaGT04 on this thread 3sgte parting
The engine is from a st185, so i assumed that the AFM would be the same for my car.

The AFM off my alltrac has a different part number

mine was
22250-74200
Alright, problem solved. Looks like the AFM is not at all from a 3sgte frown.gif. Looks like the AFM is from a 4AGE instead... dammit... i was really counting on this purchase to work out for me...frown.gif. I guess i'll start saving up my money again until i can get the right AFM...sigh...there goes another $100.

Oh and...
MR2 AFM= 22250-74220
Celica AFM= 22250-74200

EDIT: Ok i talked to CelicaGT04 and we worked things out and he is refunding me partial amount. Great guy, very understanding smile.gif
