Lol relax dude, she asked our opinion and I gave it to her. I think its to big, heavy and bubbly for my tastes. Hense in my book lame = not spending money on it. If you like it that doesnt mean EITHER of us is wrong, like I said. There are many makes and models lol, but seriously Blackcelica go get a new car. test drive it, if you actually FEEEL better in it, then get it. Cars are for transportation and enjoyment if you dont enjoy it, then dont suffer through it.

yeah imma go test drive it this weekend in non rain weather and then test it again in rain if i like it. I want something new as in something new to play with and newer as in years. I <3 my celica and I probably wont ever get the feeling I do when I see it just right as the sunsets and its parked. Its a sight for sore (or in my case blind) eyes. lol.

As long as your tires are good, rain shouldnt be a problem if your a careful driver. I dont drive my rwd car in the rain, to spin happy T_T
my Z is my Daily Driver so rain or shine im out there....i have the base model so traction control...but fortunatly i can control my car so i dont really get scared....unless there are puddles on the freeway...thats some scary crap right there

>yes it needs an alignment tho so my dads going to pay for that sometime in the next week or so.

man, your poor dad. whos going to be making the high payments on the new car? your looking at something like 600 a month on that car.

if your car feels unsafe and needs an alignment, then thats probably why it feels that way.

My poor dad? He enjoys working on the cars this is why he doesnt let me touch em. He likes doing the work. Ill be paying the car payments. They pay my insurance so ill pay the payments. He wants me in a lexus so he said I need to test a IS300 and 350 before I make any decisions.

both of those cars are beautiful, but i didnt like the is300's backseat. Since my car HAS no backseat the 2nd needs to be able to lug around sacks of junk (a.k.a. my lazy friends)
This sounds like a sociological problem that is probably backed by alignment issues. Another reason you may feel "safer" in other newer cars is that they are generally bigger, and have much more sound deadening …thus, rain and lightning do not stand out as much.

Personally, I see it quite silly to buy a new car just because you freak out sometimes ...next, you'll end up locking yourself up in a cell so you cannot be kidnapped! jk, lol. wink.gif tongue.gif

p.s. Not in anyway saying newer cars are not safer! wink.gif

She has already stated she isn't selling it.

Good thing you have parents that can help you in these kinds of situations. My parents can't co-sign for me and I can't find anyone who would. So my only option right now to keep my car running is putting a new engine in.

Have you thought about actually trying to work through your fears? I mean, why let them control you when you can control them. Don't let them run your life. Go see a doctor or something.
