Mine doesn't, and I can't tell if the switch should have a setting so that it (they) turn on when the door is opened. I have a 95 with two dome lights, one on each side of the rear view mirror.

mine never have either, and i have a 95.

Mine are kind of tricky. The switches don't really have any positive clicks to let you know you're in the right place to have the lights come on with the doors. I just have to play with mine to get the switches in exactly the right spot. Mine's a 96.
I have a friend who just got a 95 vert and she just asked me about this today. It appears that hers don't come on with the doors either - maybe this is a 96+ thing only?

Maby its a factory option, maby it depends on gt or st.

Mine come on when the door opens and I have a 97, but like Velliety said I have to make sure the switches are in the right spot.

Mine is a 96, and it's like you gotta play with the switch a little and get it in the right spot. But sometimes i come outside and my lights will be on even after i close the door. It's quite tricky haha.

For convertibles, i believe they are all GT.

Mine's a '97 and they come on with the door open when I put the switches all the way to the top, with the door closed when the switches are somewhere near the middle, and they don't come on at all if the switches are at the bottom... It is a bit tricky since like someone said before, there's no real mark or click when you've reached the "middle" and at first I thought they were broken...

I have a 98 and like fairy posted, when the switches are back (towards you) the lights come on. When in the middle the lights come on when the door opens, and when they are forward (away from you) they are off.

Although they dont "click" I didnt find it overly "tricky" to switch them between off/door/on.

I DO notice that they are essentially useless for lighting anything up.

mines are different.

when they are toward you, they turn on when the door opens.

in the middle, they are off.

when they are away, they are on.

what i did was push it in with a little bit of force not enough to brake anything and wobble it around so i dont gotta play with it anymore.
