On the standard facelift style bumper (96-99) there are holes that these 'hooks' fit into to secure them to the bumper.
Most bodykits, like the veilside don't have the holes for these made during production so that the buyer has a choice of fitting different lights.

....but if you are just trying to fit the lights to a standard PRE-facelift bumper then they won't fit because they are a different shape.
Unless you make major alterations to the bumper. >

yeah, i was told the same thing, and mine didnt fit at all... i had to totally chop mybumper in order to get them fir, but they wouldnt fit the right way, so i also had to put them on the opposite sides... like the right one on the left side... looks kinda weird, but i had to get my car inspected.... it was wayyyy past due, so i had to make due,... but if anyone ever finds something that fts better-- please hook a girl up with some knowledge on where to get 'em at
