So i've got an Injen Short Ram Intake and the filter is damn dirty. How can you clean those things? If not, does anyone know of a place I can purchase just another filter for my intake?

either use soap and water and dunk it in, twist it around, then use k&n oil when its dry.

Does the filter brand really make all that much of a difference?

k&n, aem, apexi, injen all good brands

do other brands do really that much of a bad job compared to "good" brands

you probably will replace no name brands more often than good brands

Becuase good brands cost too much to keep replacing.

How do you know you need a replacement filter instead of just clean it?

I won't clean when you follow the procedure or there are wholes (hold it up to the sunlight to check)
