I stumbled up on this site while searching through cardomain. My fiance owns a limited edition 97 Celica ST . I have tried other forums but the 6G is a stepchild on them. I am not a fan of the performance but it is a fun car to drive. I am new to this forum but I have experience with other forums so I will use the search button dont worry about that. I will be adding a few performance parts, but my main concern is external mods. So I am looking to gain a lot of knowledge from you guys/gals. So without further a do here is her green (blue hopefully soon) 6G....

NICE car, love that color, only used on those 97's.

Your from houston? there's a couple of other members here from TX as well, mostly autsin/SA though....

Welcome to the boards shortdogg!

For external mods, if you want to keep her celica clean, go for either the SSIII Front and Rear Splitters (Look up member Chrisc for the parts, he's well known here on this forum) or the GT4 Celica front bumper and hood mod. Those are the top 2 choices that everyone would aggree with.

Also go with the JDM Taillights as well.

Check out my profile for the SSIII look. I also own a 97 Lt. Ed. My profile pics however do not show my JDM Tails, mesh grill, and OEM Fogs though. Pics are actually about 2 yrs old. lol Gosh I need to update them. lol

CelicaQt thanks for the tips. Your car looks nice I will show her the pics of your car to see what she says. I was definately looking to do JDM tails and heads. I am currently in the process of doing a JDM front end conversion on my Galant. I will post pics when I get it out of the shop.

I am gonna show my fiance the pics of the SSIII look and hope she likes it. I was originally lookin to do the GT4 look but I think it is a lil too agressive for her. These are the wheels she wants. Personally I want to put some gunmetal or hyperblack wheels on it but she wants chrome.


Also thanks for the hospitality. I have been checkin out some of the cars on here and they are nice.

Oh I am not doing it all myself I am only coming up with ideas and assisting with some purchasing. I just couldn't have my car all tricked out and her car looking plain Jane. Besides one day I want to put her car and my car in some of the smaller car shows in my area. She wasn't into tuning but I am slowly bringing her to the dark side.

Thats the way to bring your girl to come intrested in cars. My gf was at first like "im not intrested" but i think now days she is even more intrested of building my celi than i do. And i think your going to get all the information from here that you need.
