how do you install 404 sideskirts and rear lip? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #42927 10 posts Started by 6strngs
just got mine the other day, went to line them up and they don't really fit... like the sideskirts are a fraction of an inch too short. and when I tried to put the rear lip into place I could get it where it needed to go. anybody done a write-up on this or just some tips and tricks on this?

I am not sure which ones you have.. but I know mine were short as well.. i think the guy that installed mine had to shave the end off and mount it on his own... and the rear lip was setup with a tab so you cut a hole in your stock bumper to help hold it in....

Yup my 404 sides were to short. They extented them custome, and molded mine on there. My rear lips was also an inch short on both sides they also had to exstend it, and molded it in.
how much did it cost to have them installed for you guys? I don't have alot of cash so I thought I'd try and install them myself, but that sounds like alot of work... alot of work that i'd screw up.

I have the VIS "zephyr" ones btw.

Just go to a local shop that you know of and get an estimate. usually fiberglass work can be exspensive. But sometimes not.
I had a friend of a friend do it in his underground shop.. (barn behind someone else's house..) for $700.. that included painting them and molding them to the car..
