im getting my cat-back in a few days, and the question was asked if i should have my muffler (2.5") angled or not. I've always had mixed feelings about angled mufflers because it varies from car to car. Does anyone have any pics of angled mufflers on their celicas?
Angled or not? - 6G Celicas Forums
I only like angled with round canisters.

that looks great blinky, perhaps i will get it angled
Round canisters,maybe.I kind of agree with Blinky.
>>I got mine slighty angled, if you check my profile you can see it, cause im to lazy to upload it.
but yeah blinky is right, round canister = angle, oval = straight.

here is the rule i follow.
round = angle it
oval = straight
round = angle it

i dont understand, what is the difference if its angled? is it sorta like choosing to wear your hat sideways or backwards or something?

I have my catback straight, i like it
id rather not angle mine because its very stereotypically "ricer"... but some celis it looks good on it
In my opinion the exhaust shouldn't be angled to the side, but rather a bit down. Or, not the exhaust itself, but the end of the pipe, should angle down just a tiny bit.
A few typical JDM exhausts have that little angle at the very end, and it looks great.
Gram's for example.. They produce very, very light weight full turbo-back exhausts for most japanese cars, and they are all angled down a little at the tip. Lets see if I can find a picture.

not sure if this is clear but 4 might be better than 1?
More Power to your BOOM BASS
4 definately better than 1. I hate single canister "fireball" mufflers. I'm thinking about goin dual pipe four outlet when my swap gets done..I've already got 1 muffler..just needa buy another..How was yours done? H pipe?
both ways looks cool im getting a new muffler and i was thinking at getting the angled look but strait is good too
I want 2 mufflers.. 2 1/2 in piping.. but.. thats if I had a V6 =]
scratch that.. not 2 mufflers.. 2 Supertrapps!

One pipe for every single cilinder?? Of do you have a V8 there? The most on 4banger would be 2 tips IMHO...
