Adjusting Window Track? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #4355 5 posts Started by Coomer
Hi,
I recently installed a Spal power window kit in my car, and now whenever I roll up my windows, my driver's side window rolls up just a tiny bit too high, and it makes it so that the door won't close. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the window track so that the window won't go up quite so high? I only need it to go down about maybe 1mm and my door will close fine.

Thanks for the advice. I simply adjusted the two bolts near the top of the door, and now it works fine. Thanks again! >smile.gif>

I would definitely recommend the power window kit from Spal. I got the deluxe one, which is supposedly quieter than the standard one, and I really like it. The windows go up and down quickly, and they're pretty quiet, even though I haven't tried them with the door panels on yet, because I'm still installing sound deadener in the doors.

Below is a photo of where I mounted the motor in my door.

And here is where I mounted the switches. I painted the panel with Duplicolor Metalcast paint and it came out pretty well, and looks much, much better in person than in this picture. I'm going to redo the whole thing sometime though, because I don't think it looks as good as I was hoping for originally. I'm going to relocate the power mirror switches to the glovebox fairly soon I think as well.
