ok i install a kenwood radio w/ ipod connector also i got 2 amps one for my speakers and the other for my box , and install indiglo lights , H.I.D.s well i been getting engine noise every time i turn on all my thing together and it's a really pain listen to that noise every time i shift any ideas what could be the problem please if u guys have any ideas how to resolve this matter please let my know asap thank's fellas

If it's whining noise that can be heard when you accel the car, reroute the rca cable(s) so that they aren't near to the positive wire going to the amps. Keep positive wire to one side and the rca cable to the other side of the car is where i'm trying to get at (from front of car to back). Also, check where your receiver is grounded to. If possible, try to reroute the ground wire from the receiver and ground it to somewhere else on the chassis, not the negative wire from the factory wiring.

I had that, I tried EVERYTHING, there was a guy that said i need to ground my RCA cables to my amp, there was another that said I had to get a better ground for both my amp and deck... I did all of this. I found out about a week later that it was actually a blown deck. Try replacing the deck, i know it seems like a pain. But maybe?

The dreaded "Alternator whine". Wouldnt wish it on anyone.

It is a process of elimination to find the culprit.

Or, you can try adding those Scoshe noise loop eliminator and connect it to each of the RCA cables.

How I did mine was route the power on one side of the car and my RCA's to another side of the car. Next find a good ground, something thats fully metal, steel brush it if you have to. The ground I used was the nut inside the hatch storage compartment. That should solve your issue. Just like Netrata said.

An old trick we used was to use a shorting plug. Get 2 rca plugs from radio shack. Solder a piece of wire connecting the two contacts ( you are connecting the center signal lead to the outer ground lead). Start by connecting the plugs to the amps inputs and turn on car and stereo system. If you have alternator whine the problem is at the amp. Regrounding the amp usually fixes this. If you don't have any noise connect the rca cables to the amp but not the radio. Using rca couplers attach the plugs to the rca cable's at the radio end. Again run the car and stereo. If you have noise try moving the rca's. If you don't have noise than the deck is causing the noise. Again regrounding usually helps.

If you still can't get rid of the noise the filters do work but can sometimes effect sound quality. I try not to use them if possible.
