Has anybody had to buy a new down pipe when buying a new exhaust manifold or does the old one works for the new performance.

you should go all out.
or work your way back to front.
you don't have to get a dp, if the manifold is meant for the car it should bolt up, but i personally suggest doing a downpipe

ok il do that, anybody know any sites to where i can ge a good down pipe or cat back exhaust ?

unless your buying a full race, or similar exhaust manifold, i would stick with the stock exhaust manifold, and upgrade your DP and exhaust.
the only thing you'll really gain with those cheapo ebay manifolds is problems.

full-race.com makes an manifold for the mr2, but the say in works on fwd or awd celicas
