i'm jealous that you have these. is that the only shifter surround that doggy made like that? how'd you get so lucky!

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
^^ I think Doggy made more than one but Jesse is the only person state side that owns one. Jesse, check your PM's brother
well i was home for about 12 hours... and did a little.. nothing productive, but needed to be done..

took the TSW's off so i can get to the suspension easier wink.gif
and i will most likely sell the TSW's since there is no point in them sitting around for 2 years.

I also put her on blocks high enough that i can move around to work underneath etc.

i don't really think bricks were the best idea for holding the celi up. maye for the time being, but you should probably get some jack stands. i don't want to see the bricks break. it's a b**** to re-jack a car up when it's on the frame (trust me i've done it).

take the battery out?

good idea of the cover, maybe a cover for the exhaust and brakes?

hope by the time you got a very good plan, so you don't waste those 3 weeks smile.gif

This is my least favorite page of my progress thread. Mainly due to the depressing pictures of my car apart, gutted and rusting.. it can only get better wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif

I see your point and appreciate the concern, but i trust my set-up for a short term deal.

Haha, well the engine is out, the interior is apart and the engine harness is out as well.. The battery is mounted in the truck connected to nothing, no need to take it out now...

the brakes are going to rust either way, maybe i'll take the calipers off so they don't freeze, but i literally have no time at home.

I won't waste the three weeks, but unfortunatly i don't think my pockets will be very deep to do much of anything..

^notice the axle still in the driver side hub.. i couldn't get it out, we pulled the engine with the axle in the tranny and the hub attached... sucked

Also you will notice my radiator delicatly placed in the engine bay as well as the passenger axle and a large bin containing many various engine items, mounts, clamps etc.. oh well.

IPB Image

The car is so light with no engine and half an interior laugh.gif

And to add to the depression some more.. my biggest rust spot (that i know of..)

I can dream right? tongue.gif

I'm going to try to get just a 3rd gen block if i can, so most likely not 3rd gen throttle body..

UPDATE: I'm still alive and the car is as well. Hasn't changed in a year... this was it last year when i came home for break...

and this is this year when I came home for Xmas break...

So it really hasn't changed any... at all.. except there was more snow last December...

Its sad that I haven't been able to touch it in a year... but this time next year I will have all the $$ I need to order everything for the celi biggrin.gif

I haven't given up, I've just learned to be patient wink.gif

Glad to know that I haven't been forgotten! Yes Steff it has been way too long, I haven't been back to Newport since 07' I need to venture over there soon and see all the work you and T-Bone have been doing with the Celi's!!!

On a different note I think I'm going to try to mold my riser blocks to my wing while I'm home for break.. its cheap and I have the materials all I need to do is actually do it... atleast it would be progress.. since I really can't do much to the car while its covered in snow... not that I have any money to do anything to it right now either haha

Anyone have any advise so that it doesn't crack when i mold it?

The hatch and now a coupe are both off the road at my parents house. I'm getting a loan in march for a large amount and will if possible import a GT4 into Canada and buy it as a used vehicle and put it on the road in the US. I figure this is easier and cheaper than trying to convert the hatch. If not then I'll start throwing money into the hatch again..
i've always wonder if that would work, It sounds like a good idea. Let us know how it goes

I don't know if it is true or not but I read on a forum that when you import a car from another country if the motor is not in the car then you can register it as a "kit" car don't take my word for it tho

anyways I was wondering if you would be parting out your st if you get a gt4??
If you are great let me know I live in mass near Worcester if not that's cool too
