Today on the way home a wrx was tailgating me really badly. He passed me and so i followed him, while doing so i noticed he had sti badging. He ran really fast but i stayed right on his tail. eventually we hit traffic and slowed down. He pulled along side me, rolled down his window and said, "Damn your fast!" I replied by saying "na only as fast as you. STI huu?" he said "yeah."

This moment would not have been possible if it were not for this site and ppl on it who have helped me not only with the swap but also with everything else. From the CAI project i did to the 5sfte and now the 3rd gen 3sgte swap.

so once again thanks to all.

yeah, stock sti's are good competition for us. so are srt4's.

how about some pics of your engine bay and stuff? i dont think you ever posted any.

Nice story,

For me it's the same, almost everything I learned about the car I got from 6GC. Its great to have so much knowledge/experience about 1 specific type of car model gathered in 1 website/forum.
Without 6GC I would still have the car in its form as I bought it 2 years ago.

Now just wait until you get antsy to be able to beat STi's/EVO's/SRT4's...

same thing happened to me once, except i couldn't keep up with a '04 STI, i'm already itching for a turbo..

alot of people dont understand the power of a 5fste....2.2 is a pretty big 4 liter. I got a wrx and a srt4 on my list already. and im not even done tuning. still have a air leak to fix....piping to open up and fuel pump and injectors to do. lol i swear everything i touch my car i get a itch. i think from here on out its time to hope on the run way at jfk and start running at airplanes.
