Celi-can or Celi-can't - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #44147 13 posts Started by 6strngs
I'm surprised no one has said anything about this yet. but in the new january 07 issue of Modified Mag there is a short article in the back (pg. 160) where a reader writes in to the magazine and they right a response. Basically the guy says he just bought a black 96 ST 25th-anniversary celica, has had it for a week and put on a "custom intake built out of injen parts," a custom 2 1/4 exhaust w/ a magnaflow high-flow cat and a borla muffler, and some Enkei 16x7 P10's w/ BFGoodrich G-force sports. basically he says he loves the car but is having trouble finding mods for it. The response he got was that if he wanted power he would need a 4AGZE or 3SGTE. then they refer him to www.celispeed.com. then, at the end they give a little closing note where they say that they think that the 6gc is the best-looking late-model Celica, but that the lack of an aftermarket has "kept us admiring them from afar."

anyway, just thought I'd point this out. I don't think it's worth buying the magazine for this little 3 paragraph article, but I thought it was pretty cool. and hey, maybe some big manufacturers will see this and realize they need to start making more parts for 6th gens! (I wish)

actually, i like the fact that it goes largely unnoticed by the tuner world. it makes it more unique on the road, especially when you see one that is modded.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
Aye celicast, I agree..

im wit you
i pray every night before i go to bed, for the tuner boomer culture to die out....

Teh Celica sleeps for Winter '06. Suspension overhaul begins........
Yea i have a BANZAI (aug/sept 2002) magazine with 4 pages of a 97 celica with 20'' rims and a veilside bodykit. Gas is behind the tail lights. Cars baby blue with baby blue interior. looks good. but doesn't have nothing done to motor i also have another magazine with a red celica in it. Has a 404 lip kit all the way around 18's lowered, and interiors done but also nothing done to the motor. Just show. But it was kinda cool seeing a 94-99 celica in a mag for them 2 times. very hard to find.
Thats the thing what i like in my 6gc. Its not an easy car to build up and believe me its even much more harder here in finland cos every parts are going to cost much. It makes my car much more unique here. I know in the forum theres hundreds of 6gc's with invader kit but here in finland i think we only have under 10 builded 6gens.

Please visit on our teams new website. hrp-tuning.com19in deepdishes - invader bodykit - invader cf hood - x-box - dls audio
the main reason that i got the 6th gen was its not a very common car... i didn't want what everyone else has

i too wish this tuner trend would finally die out

THE STUFFS FOR SALE!
