will a torn front motor mount seriously affect performance?i know it affects torque and acc. but ne1 know how bad? Mines torn and i can hear the engine hitting the firewall everytime i punch into it.

a torn engine mount will not make you lose torque from your engine. But it will affect how well your engine delivers its power to the ground. A torn engine mount can make your torque steer worse, your car track crooked under acceleration, and increase wheel spin/hop during hard acceleration.

yea...thats abt. wat i thought...i just didnt know if i would feel a big diff. w/ a new motor mount.

if what you said is true about the engine hitting the firewall, new mounts are needed in the front and the rear, especially the rear. And you will feel a big difference with new mounts.

good...i just hope i dont screw up my intake manifold or something b4 i get it fixed.
