I've have Japanese imported 2.0 GT, SS-II 3S-GE engine
after a long 100 mile journey last weekend, I noticed today that there is a high pitch tick-tick noise combined with a slight squeal from a belt, whilst idle. Revving a little does not get rid of the sound or even after an hours drive. Any ideas on what it could be?
Excuse the open question - I'm no mechanic, just love driving the Celica.
It's done over 80,000 Kilometers and I can't tell if it's had new cam belts. So what should i look out for?
Will it cost a lot to fix? How much would you pay a grage to find out what it was?
