Well, after reading about it so much in the forum, i finally got around to doing mine. It took me a while because i assumed it was very difficult. but after reading everyone else's posts, and following their instructions and experiences, it was actually easier than i expected. However, i did the fronts different than i did the backs. Can anyone notice the difference?

The difference is that on the front calipers i took them completely apart, scrubbed every component clean, painted the calipers with red enamel paint, and then painted the stainless steel pieces (yes, even the small wire things that are hooked onto the pads) a light coat of silver to make them stand out a bit. After six hours of scrubbing, painting, and blow drying and only getting the front calipers done, i decided that the next day i would take a different approach. Using a plastic bag, i isolated the area to be painted while they were on the rotor and I painted everything! I know its inconsistent but i was tired and i'm hoping people won't notice that minor detail. Plus, you can barely see them behind my rims.

Once i'm a bit rested, the plan is to paint "Celica" on the calipers. I've seen some folks had them on theirs, but they were mostly on the GT4 calipers. Anyone done it on the other type?

Both your calipers look awesome. Im going to do mine in gray soon... plan on just masking off teh areas i dont want to paint, as it seems very time consuming to take the whole assembly apart

Thanks! Believe me, it is ve[i]ry time consuming. But i'm satisfied with the results.

I plan to paint mine the next time I change the brake pads. I'm thinking I'll use a brush instead of spray paint to avoid overspray.

Yes the brush on kits work very well. Used them for my calipers and my g/f's eclipse calipers. Works better then spray. Stays on longer then the spray can. I first tried spray can and after a couple weeks went to brush because the paint was already coming off. Now no worry's. Looks good tho man. Looks like you took some time on them.
