I'm getting a fault code 71,
Anybody get the same and how did you fix it? I have a 7AFE.

EGR VALVE MALFUNCTION--EXHAUST GAS TEMPEATURE BELOW SPEC. FOR EGR CONTROL
--EGR SYSTEM
--EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR/CIRCUIT

I would say the sensor has gone bad, and might need to be replaced.

i got that code for a while on my 5s, just check all of your vacuume lines, use some carb cleaner and clean out the egr(be careful not to break the gasket), and i believe there is one more electrical problem that can happen.

Cleaning out the egr valve solved my problem.
