Mine froze like that a couple years ago, it was crazy!! This year the roads are icy cause of the snow getting packed down but the cars arent icy *whew*

I hope you dont have to drive anywhere lol
the roads are fine...
it rained last night and it froze over
but people here in SA decide to drive 15mph on major highways... its retarded...
and i got most of the ice off my car now anyways

My car got frozen shut real bad this year...

first off it rained, then turned into snow during the night - by morning my car was covered in snow and some ice...
My car was parked out in the street for 2 days, because my boyfriend bought a scion and he was driving us everywhere... and it was VERY cold...
It snowed again and it froze by moring, so I had a good 2 inches of just solid ice on my car...
Yeah it was not opening either... I couldnt get it open for like a good half hour.

None! Just leave the ice there. You will only damage the paint if you try to remove it. biggrin.gif

i shoulda checked my car last night, but i don't think it got that cold in Houston. I think we got as low as 34* these past couple of nights. probably not enough to cause icing on the cars.

Damn, my car was iced over but thats crazy. Not to hijack the thread but with so many people popping up from SA and Houston etc. - anybody wanna get a meet together for SA? I love SA - definetly in my top 5 favorite cities. I was thinking maybe hanging on the river walk and then a cruise to Austin or something. We could plan it for a couple of months in the future so as to maximise the amount of people and organization.
Houston Toyota Club would show with a bunch of diff types of Toyotas and we could meet up with the members of the old SATC from a few years back. Anyone interested?
id def be in
but being in highschool
it would have to be a weekend or spring break...
but DEF. intrested...
hope this goes through

here in New England, it happens quite frequently during winter-times. it's been fairly mild, so it's OK this year. but early last week (near 0°F) , after 15minutes autostart, my door was STILL frozen. i think there's a design flaw in celicas when temps go so low that even after you start the car for 15+minutes and heat kix in, your door just won't close! lol.

i could open the door, get in, but when i attemp to close the door, it boundes off the car and swings out. it's a stick shift, so i had to use my left hand to hold the door close, while i shift and steer at the same time. i felt like indiana jones =D
