Topic #44616 11 posts Started by TrdPnoy
Hey guys I was just wondering how to remove to exhaust manifold cover because I want to paint mine and also the o2 sensor is in the way, is there a proper procedure on removing it.. sorry if this post sounds dumb its just on the 5sfe like mine theres a hole on the cover where the sensor is...
thanks...
3 bolts on the top of heat shield. 2 bolts on the O2 sensor. And if you need to take more stuff out, everything is just bolt-on and bolt-off.

What kind of paint you going to use?

i suggest you dont paint it
I painted mine. It wasn't too hard to remove either. Scrubbed it down real good, treated it for rust and sprayed several coats of heat resistant silver just to give it some of its original color back. That was about 9 months ago. Its still holding up. And i have a 3SGE! wink.gif
