correct me if im wrong but isnt it pushed back to april 7th and 8th now, but its still at the 290 hooters location or was it sams not sure. ill be bringing four walkie talkies in order to communicate to whoever will be in the front so that that person can alert us from state highway rollers. also going to bring my car to the transmission shop to make sure it's up for the drive.

Yeah - too many last minute drop outs and no help finding Hotel accomodations or cruise routes. I'll stil be in SA this weekend for my B-day though if anyone wants to meet up.

Lol. I know it is. Everyone and their mother's got that phone including the Razr. And i cringe at the site of text messages cuz my mom's getting on my case about that. i'm limited to 400 incoming and outgoing messages total per month. It's a fresh month though, so I should be clean for the moment.

BTW, my mom's planning to get T-Spoon fixed. I'm fine with that, but I don't trust the quality job that this body shop does.

not sure but is htc still active in the community, just wondering would like to meet fresh faces? and maybe find someone to do an engine rebuild on my 5sfe. i beleive i smell oil burning but not sure. or if anybody in houston knows of a great reputable rebuild shop dont hesitate to send me over their way. feel free to give me a call just pm and ill give you my number. my name is ro short for romano.

HTC is still around. We're just not really all that active during the colder seasons as a few of us have work, but mostly school. Expect to see us around between late spring and early fall.

Unless you plan to have a stroker motor built I wouldn't bother with chris K. His prices are waaay up there because he insists on doing everything the absolute best possible way when sometimes stock is perfectly fine.

what would you suggest then, id had money saved up for a v6 swap that i had spoken to do thorugh dr. tweak i didnt even mind that sending it over his way was gonna cost another 1g. but long story short had lost my job before new years and so went my dream.

Call alto auto salvage. Talk to Juan [helps if you speak spanish] and get a used low mileage 5S. We can help you put it in. Shouldn't take more than a weekend and most of HTC will work for beer.

that sounds great! to bad my mechanical skill's are only basic knowledge, my only concern is how can i tell if my motor is warrped or has been in a wreck. nothing against junkyards i go off of north shepard to find little knick knackparts all the time but how will i find a motor that's in alright condition. im sure the guys down there will try to say anything to get that engine of their lot. and im pretty sure that 90% of all cars that end up at a junkyard has been totaled and considered to be unfit for a reconditioned title.

I'm coming down again for the weekend of July 4th. I'm not even gonna attempt to make this a meet but if others wanna meet up I'm sure we could make this successful. First thing would need to be finding cheap but descent hotel accomodations. Would be nice if one of the SA guys could help out with this.

By the Alamo. The nice place on the Riverwalk with the huge atrium and indoor Mall would be nice but I think I paid close to $200.00 to stay there once. My second choice would be the Red Roof Inn near the Alamo on the other side of the freeway and if I remember correctly was fairly reasonable with advance notice. Maybe one or the other will give a discount for multiple rooms with advance notice. If you have time - see what you can find out. Assume 3-5 rooms with 2 people per.
At worst there is the Motel 6 on I-10 nearest SA. I think it's only like $60 with no notice. Whatever you do - aviod the Motel 6 [or Best western maybe] on the south side of the Alamo near market square or whatever [no idea what the directions are tho] - GHETTO. My car almost got broken into and we caught the hotel staff in our room when we specifically told the same people to stay out. Needless to say we stayed for free that weekend.

Yeah but isn't that one the south side? Kind of farther for the rest of us from other cities. Plus you don't know HTC yet but the older members will want to drink after the car stuff and being able to stumble back to the hotel from Riverwalk would be great. We don't want any drinking and driving you know

la cantera is the center of the richest part of town...
but yeah drinking and driving = bad
just traffic around downtown = really bad
and its a bitch to get down there and back w/o sitting in traffic for 2 hours...
but ill see what i can do

sorry i didnt check this thread sooner spolski, but it would have been hard to leave my city this past weekend with my car as it is still restricted under txdot, im in the process of getting the paperwork finished this week as well as insured.

La Cantera area is sweeet, thats the area where you can find what I call the SA-Touge lol!

Maybe next weekend, and i'd like to see the white car as i might take it off ur hands:)
