anybody take there car to a shop and have them install your lowering springs? if so what were the installations costs for it, thanks!

Mostly everyone on here has installed them theirselves...Its not difficult at all. But if you want to get them installed, expect to pay around three hours labor. probably around $125-200.
i would just do it yourself and save the money. trust me, its not hard at all. they would proabably rip you off at a shop. only problem i had installing my springs was the 2 nuts on the rear were tight as hell and it broke a socket. impact wrench helps

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

there is a howto on the site by mynzeyes. its pretty straightforward as long as you have the right tools. but if you have any questions not covered in the howto or need anything clarified, just pm me. i didnt use a spring compressor by the way. when your taking off the stock springs, just be careful because the nut will shoot a bit. i used a rope and wound it around two coils and twisted it with a stick so it wasnt that bad (homemade spriing compressor
). putting the new springs on is a bit tougher without a compressor. i used my brothers help. he put his weight on the spring as i threaded the nut to begin tightening. other than that, its just bolts off, bolts on.

thanks for the info, i will prolly try it myself and see how it goes, my springs are comin in tomorow. i just heard its hard to do if you dont have air tools? but then other people installed them with no problems, and just simple hand tools. so i guess i'll find out.

what about changing the shock and struts along with it? my KYB's and Teins are coming soon. i pretty sure its not like changing the stereo, so i might probably just take it to a shop. i was thinking of doing it myself because i am still looking for a shop who specializes in suspension and i am afraid they might not know what they are doing. i do not have air tools though, and looking at the how to's, i think the only hard part are the rear sway bar end links. anyone from chicago who knows a shop who does suspension?
