IC size - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #44868 6 posts Started by quicknstyle
im planning on buying a 27x3.5x6.25 intercooler. now im planning on running about 15-16lbs of boost on my swapped celica, will this be an efficient size, and will at fit with decent accomodations?
i have a 26x6x3 and thats worked fine . the idea here is to take off your bumper...and measure everything out so that you can get the biggest cooler you can fit in there.

as far as running 15-16psi. i had to add water injection to be able to safely do that on my car.

water injection on its way... your post was the only reason why i decided to get a boost controller to throw in as well
m gunna push a large IC idea more than anything. i could free boost 20+ psi with no signs of knock, and this "pressure drop" thing is pretty much un noticeable and effects lag minimally.

your right... a huge IC is a good benefit, but i just wish you had tvsv led's or had gone to the dyno with your setup. sometimes knock can be tricky to spot just based on feel.

what is size you mentioned before, that you believe you could fit in the gt-four bumper?
