yeah I kinda get that feeling too. looks nice and new but speed etc is just not there. needs sp1 and 100% compatible drivers which means they have to come from scratch not an adapted xp driver. my main pc will stay xp pro for a good long time.

the big problem with vistas benchmarks right now, is that the drivers still need more work to get to the level of where XP is. they had to totally rewrite everything to work on vista.

the big problem is that vista isn't bringing enough new things to the consumer! its prettier and has a a few little knick knacks..and that's pretty much it!
