for those of you guys that did the swap, what did you guys do with all of your left over stuff? like motors, trannys if you did swap that, so on and so on? i was kinda wondering if any shop or yard would trade me a gt tranny for my st tranny and motor, but what did you guys do? and if you sold them, how much did you sell your stuff for?
what did you guys do with your motor after your done? - 6G Celicas Forums
i've been wondering that too. Don't really want to put a good engine to waste after a swap.
-Alex {](O_o)[}1993.5 Toyota Supra....with stuff........sorta broken....1998 Toyota Celica....this one, too, has stuff........broken....yeah...definitely broken....
I kept the a/c compressor, map sensor, transmission with flywheel and clutch, slave cylinder, starter, and alternator. The motor itself was trashed due to the big hole in the block(yup, my brother-in-law blew my motor while I was still in Iraq).
I have mine laid out nicely in my garage all over the floor. Then soon 2 more engines joined it. Now its a pile of stuff all in a 100 pieces.
sold it to presure2 and he doubled its horsepower

Sorry a bit off topic but... how much do you guys think a 7afe+tranny+wire harness would cost at a junk yard? ive sold off too much of my 7a already and was thinking of a plan b if i cant get my car to pass smog? or if anyone in socal is planning a swap towards the end of this year... i might take it off your hands. thanks.... I guess to answer your question, i tried parting it out to make back some money, not stopping to think i might need it two years down the line. whoops...
Made mine a paper weight
I will return one day.
well, i just dont have any use for it. i dont plan on going back to stock ever, just no need to. so my st motor/tranny will be just that, a paper weight. I guess i could sell driveshafts and such online to part out somethings, but i just dont think that there is that much of a "need" of parts for the st's, you know? lagos, how much did you sell your motor for?
when i get mine out since its dead I plan on compleatly taking it apart and putting it back together gana take a long time because I have not time but a great way to learn. after that, I'll keep some parts from it clean em off and put em on desplay
but the rest will be sold or misteriously lost in my nabors garbage.
Trying to sell my GT engine and tranny as we speak. If anyone is interested, click the link in my sig. Great rebuild motor.
Thanks-
Thanks-

I am a nice guy, what can I say? Actually, I only had a short time to get rid of it. I was satisfied.
