Speed: KMH and MPH - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #4515 6 posts Started by Supersprynt
This could be a potentially stupid question but i was thinking:
in a JDM ecu, its going to read out in KM per hour, ok well on our Speedo's have KMH on them, its just small. So why is it necessary to convert when you can just use the KMH and it shows what the MPH is ne ways.

Yo, Super, that seems like a good point to me. I wouldn't even bother with it, since it'll show the MPH anyhow.
thats true about the speedo. The conversion for Kph to MPH is take teh kph times .6 adn you will get the MPH... 100kph is 60 mph
So im right? You dont have to use a converter because on every speedo, its in KMPH already, they've already done the math.

I'll test this out someday with a friend or someone riding behind me to see if the readings are accurate.

I just need a speed cut defender...112mph thats not cool.

it should read out exactly the same...there would no LOGICAL reason why it would not. >smile.gif>.
