I was looking around Conceptcarz.com and I pulled up a picture of the 2007 Opel GT. I thought, "Oh Em Gee, does that look JUST like the 2007 Saturn Sky." So I pull up a picture of both side by side and I'll be damned if it is the same car.

yes. GM borrowed a few designs from overseas companies that we don't ever see in the US and changed them very minimally before marketing them as their own.

like the Pontiac GTO is the Vauxhall [or Holden in Australia] Monaro

On a slightly less exciting front, overhere ford sold the fiesta mk4 rights to mazda who rebadged it (and very very very slightly facelifted it) and sell it as the mazda 121!

its kinda weird, when i was in europe i would see cars we have here but they are under different names. Like the Mercury cougar is the ford cougar over there. Like they have the Opel (cant remember the name of it but it was somethin like edge or curve or somethin like that) and its the chevy optra here. They just change the name and brand over to something that people are fermiliar with. Like if you were driving down the road here and you saw like a vauxhall or a Opel, you woudlnt know to much about it, but if it was under the pontaic or saturn name, you would trust it more. For some reason though i dont think many people are gonna be doing the Sky/Opel euro badge swap like what people do here with JDM cars. IE swappin badges from that opel GT onto a sky..or puttin Skyline on the back of a G35 coupe.

One awesome car from Ford missing in the United States is the Ford Falcon.

The ultimate V8 Supercar!
