Cooking her favorite food from her favorite place using copycat recipes online. And busting out the sewing machine (yes i have a sewing machine and know how to sew) i made her a monogramed bath robe and PJs. In the end it might look ghetto, but im under the price cap and hopefully it really is the thought that counts.

amy's high lol. tongue.gif yea.. so yesterday sucked for me cause i spent it alone. drove home and stayed home.... alone... but before i went home i got off work early and took the subway(which i haven't took for years) to Gucci to get her a bag..... $950+......... wife's away on vacation so she wouldn't know it till she comes back... it's gonna be her v'day, b'day and wedding anniversary present lol.

I think it's sad when people are so materialistic about Valentine's Day. Who cares if you don't get anything, the day is about love and having someone to share it with, not about flowers & chocolate and expensive jewelry. I would be totally cool with not getting anything from my husband for Valentine's Day, all I would care is that we could be together... in my opinion, that's the best gift...

Exactly. And this coming from a female so you have an oposite point of view from mine but with the same opinion.
Whining about not getting something just shows how spoiled you are.

I was raised watching my mom get a boquet of flowers just about every week. So yes i was raised that a woman is spoiled with gifts. I dont think theres anything wrong with that. I treat a guy how id like to be treated so I take him to dinners or trips. I just expect the same every now and then.

Yeah. my gf's leniant (sp?) this year because she knows I don't have my mind set on it due to my accident earlier this month. kindasad.gif She's just happy that nothing wrong happened and that I was able to spend V-day with her in one piece. On a side note though, her mom made Southwestern Chicken Pasta for dinner on V-day. biggrin.gif

agreed...

especially in my situation where I dont get to him enough as it is... I'm here with him though and it seriously is the best thing ever...
