WTB: Oil Pressure sending unit plug a GT - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #45397 16 posts Started by Valo666
So, pretty much i need a new oil pressure sending unit and the pigtail. Mine are shot, aka burnt. When i slapped my headers on, the clip and connector got really hot and brittel. So i need one, if any one has an extra one laying around from a swap or wants to just do a quick snip on the wiring harness it would b great.

Thanks.
Bryan

5sfe or 7afe? i might have one, its just the stock oil pressure sensor correct?
yea sorry..for a 5sfe...and yea just a stock one with the stock connectors same with the pigtail.
bump..need asap and also need the wire more than the actuall sender. I need to get this piece of the wiring harness replaced as soon as i can.
You can go to autozone or anywhere and get the female connector that will slide right over the sender. Then crimp the other end onto the harness. As for the sender itself, Id go to the dealer and get a new one. They're only like 30 bucks. I got one but after I get my money, shipping, and considering its aged, you may as well get a new one. Just my 2 cents.............. wink.gif
i would but 2 problems...1 we only have 1 store like autozone that doesnt carry any electrical pigtails like that. and 2. the sensor is $45 from the dealership and it will take 2 weeks to get. and i figure it would be cheaper for some one to take one of their old harnesses after their swap and just snip it off. Or see if any one has an extra harness layin around. Where I am right now, theres barely any automotive places aswell as no imports. Down here imports are a strange foreign idea.
going to check my old 5sfe sitting in my yard. not sure if i have pigtail though, do you have a pic of exactly what you need?

2 weeks! Thats rediculous! When I worked at toyota we stocked 2-3 of them all the time. But you are in canada so maybe thats the difference. Ill sell you mine. I dont want to cut the harness however. If I send you a sender and a connector of some sort or a wire that just needs to be connected to your harness would you be interested? Let me know thanks.

i actually looked at the makeshift connector thats on there and its off a honda so its the same style but it doesnt have the clip and housing to attach to the sender..the one i got is ok. I just want an OEM one.
How much are you willing to spend including shipping?
I have a spare sender if you want it. Also, the part # is 83530-60020 and it's $23 from toyotaworld, so if you're going to wait 2 weeks, you might as well wait for one half the price.

pics of the sender I have

if your in ohio ill drive down and get it unless ur far away in ohio like eastern ohio.
yea..but im litteraly a stones throw away from the boarder...i can go to detroit in 15 min including going through customs....ur in dayton??..that would be like 3 hours from where i am..maybe we could meet like half way or somethin?? like meet in Lima or Findlay??

I pretty much just need the pigtail more than any thing...the sender is ok, but i want to get the OEM plug for it

I cant imagine shipping being more than $5-$8. Each of us would spend that in gas.
