Ok, so i've had my DVD for maybe 3 months now, all was well untill a couple weeks ago when the screen started to turn into rainbox colors moving all over the screen while trying to play mp3 cds, cds, DVD's etc.. The radio, aux, and tv screen all worked fine.. Then it stoped. Today it started again, but now when i go to hit the eject button for the CD it won't eject the CD! I'm pretty pissed about this.. I mean i baught it off ebay and it was brand new right out of box! Everything worked fine for over 2 months, now this all of sudden? Anyone ever have this happen? Or have an idea what might be wrong? Was there any kind of manufacturers warranty?
What brand is it? Is it a name brand or an off brand?

I have had the same problems buying items off of ebay. I thought I found good deals just to find out that its an inferior item, usually a poorly put together component from china. They look great, but fail within 6 months.

Its a Shark SHK35MUT. I remeber there being some kind of warrenty but not sure how long. I'm going to take a look for the book and try to see if i can find a phone number to call the manufractor. Just makes me mad, all in all.

The warrenty is only for 30 days, and there is no phone number for the manufractor at all.

Well now it works again! Left the car off for about a half hour, went back out. Everything seems to fine! Lets hope it stays that way.. -cnelson.

Hmm... I think shark is just a distributer. They buy cheap stuff from overseas and put their name on it.
I can not find any information on them. All I could find is a company who provides electronic components like resistors and diodes and things like that....

Id be pretty upset too.... Nothing worse than saving up for something and having it screw up on you.
I learned my lesson though and stopped buying off brand electronics unless I could find a decent ammount of good reviews and it was backed by a good warranty.

You might want to see if anyone can take a look at it for you. If its unresponsive buttons and wacked out colors on the screen.. it might just be something as simple as a resoldering job.

Thats great news!

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere, be it in the harness or in the unit itself. You can probably take it to a small tv repair place to see if they will take a look at it, and resolder if necessary
