Does anyone else want to have the beginning part of the meet at the track? even if you just go to watch it would be fun.... to run is 15-20 bucks and only 5 to watch so it is not expensive and we might even pick up more people there to hang out with us??? we could do a late night movie to end the meet. either way i am ready to hang out and see some nice cars!

any times set for all of this? i took off work on friday so me n my cousin are prolly gonna chill in oakland into saturday, also anyone driving from eastern pa wanna meet up somewhere on the turn pike?

The gates open at 11am
test and tune is from 12-5
even if ya dont race your car it is still really cool to see all the high hp cars fly down the track.
then we drive to a resturant and get some grub
hang out for a while and chat
drive to the movie theatre as a group again (hopefully with more car people from the track)
catch a 9ish o'clock movie
hang out after the movie and talk untill everyone decides to leave.
Does that sound good??
so it would be like a 12 hour all day meet!

Anyone coming from the east or just taking the turnpike in general....
From the I76 turnpike you would get off the New stanton exit and get on I70 east for 2 seconds and follow me.... that would be the way i would be going to the track.
It would be sweet for all of us local people to meet at 10am, drive up to the turnpike and meet up with the people traveling and then all drive up there as a giant group. That would make some nice crusin pics and videos!!
I cant wait !!!!!!!!

So dave, what going on with the local people how did you want to configure that. i think thats a great idea meeting up all together but we need to come up with a good local start point for us.

how about at the intersection of Rt51 and I70. Those are the 2 biggest roads that people would be having to travel on to meet up with the other people that were traveling from the east coming in on the turnpike anyway.
There is a huge GetGo gas station at that intersection "on rt51 and just off the exit for I70" and there is tons of space to meet up in their parking area.
from that station we are only 15minutes from the turnpike and that would give us a little time to chat and would be a good spot to wait for the other travelers to get to where we would be metting em.

no my man you are thinking rt51 and rt43, that is where strict fab used to be but they moved out of state now anyway.

intersection if 51 and 70 is 5 min past the bills golfland. remember that place? a meet was there once. and it was right on the side of the highway at a traffic light. you can meet at my house if you want to roll up and follow me to the gas station. i know you are not from right around here but i am sure you will remember when you see it. if you were coming to my house on 70 and just kept going(instead of getting off the exit to get to my house) like 15 minutes more on the highway and you would be right at the intersection of 70 and 51.

Im gonna try and make it, I usually work on Saturdays now so I have to see if someone can switch me first. the black one thank god! he has not yet taken full delivery of the orange celica. this all happened down the road from my house... i guess rob was stopping over to see the update on the supra's top secret weapon and on his way here he took one in the butt from a little old lady! haha i dont want to know the full details but if he ever lets someone hit the orange car after he takes delivery, i think i might still have to stab him to death with a spoon!!!!

alright so i'm here in oakland pittsburgh, where and when am i and a few other people meeting up with the rest of you?

if i understand this right, you can be at RT51 + 70 at 10:30 SHARP, or just meet them at PRP @ 11:30-??? because they'll be there for some time. . .

i know there has to be more people coming from downtown, oakland, surrounding areas, i have no idea where i'm going, i thought you guys were meeting up around Pittsburgh at like 10?

Here is what you will do, this is the easiest way i can think of to not get you lost. Coming from childrens hospital,,,,,(oakland)
Take fifth toward town
go across either the bermingham or the 10th st bridge (you decide)
turn right onto carson (far side of bridge)
take carson to station square
make a hard left at station square traffic light (like 135 degree turn) gas station will be on your right!
go up hill and make the "2nd right/a traffic light" toward the liberty tubes
turn left and go through the liberty tubes
soon as you exit the tubes take a right onto the rt51 south ramp
follow rt51 for about 20-25 minutes and you will go straight to the intersection of 51 and 70
pm me and i will give you my cell # so if you get lost you can call me

Update on the meet situation:
i just talked to PRP on the phone.... and they have already decided to not open this weekend, they are gonna push opening day to next weekend!!!
so do you guys wanna push the meet back to then or see what the weather does and do something else non-track related and have a meet somewhere anyway?
