I have A subaru legacy im working on and when I take it for test drives there is like a rubbing noise like coming from the right tire (driver). I also noticed that the boots on the Rack and Pinion are torn, not only tat you can turn them far more than what the tires can handle and actually rub against the chasis. Now Im not too sure if I need to replace the boots and get an alignment which will solve problem or should I replace the Whole rack and pinion assembly? Any advice will help.
