4 Hours labor charged to install Springs and Struts! - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #45649 33 posts Started by nitemare
going back to prices... i got ripped off by my friend who installed my springs for 600$ which i pervided. Then i didn't notice that he didn't change my shocks until they blew. So i go back and tell him and he says "i'll give you a discount" and he ended up putting the shocks i bought last time and making me pay 500$... now thats rediculous... and uncool.

Not much of a friend. We charge $25-50 labor a wheel for lowering springs/struts depending on the car [Toyota's only] and how good of friends we are. We use a spring compressor but it's not necessary if you have experience. I would suggest Nitemare use one though.

wow.... you need to beat some sense into this so call friend of yours. he's charging you more than what a shop would charge you. Springs and shocks installation is pretty easy... all you need to do is have some elbow grease to remove the rusted on bolts and it's really a peice of cake. =/
