Photoshop my car for me? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #45653 36 posts Started by cnelson
Ok, if i put a picture up could someone photoshop it with these new things;
EDIT: I need to paint done as soon as possible.. because i might get a good deal on paint if i do it soon, so if someone could even just do the paint for me? I'd be really greatful. Thanks..

paint: Blue (dark blue, or like light / bright blue)
rims: White rims (any spoke is fine)
Windows (just tinted)

Also could anyone maybe lower the car 2-3 in?
(I'm going to go take a pic right now.)

Anyone at alll....?

It’s a little complicated I think. How about you do an imagine search on Google and look for a similar color Celi, and if you go to tirerack.com your able to look at different style rims on just about any model/make car.

Alrighty thank you very much! I'll be sure to check back tommorow!! -cnelson. smile.gif

That's some good PS work, but I honestly think that the red is hot. Go with some nice 5-spoke gunmetal wheels, and a suspension, and there you go! smile.gif

jaws that is absolutly amazing
wow, thanks jaws! Thats freaking amazing. Is the first color more purple or is it just me? Is it because the red is under the blue making it look purple? But that is some awesome PS!

YoungSurvival.Org-Celica traded for.. 350z.. traded for Mazda5.. soccer mom!
Almost exactly like that, except maybe a little bit darker if you could possible do it? I mean if you can't it's fine, but if you have the time... Just like a shade or two darker. Thanks for all the help! -cnelson. smile.gif

getting her painted tommorow... i'm a bit nervious but i've narrowed it down to two colors.. "Strawburst Blue Met" which is a dark blue when it hits light its very metalic looking, and than.. "Metalic Blue Met" which is pretty much the same but not nearly as metalic. Not sure yet which one, i will make my desicion when i drop her off tommorw, can't belive shes going to be gone for a couple days. frown.gif

what tools do you use btw

Jaws are you using the extract tool on ps or something else?
IPB Image

First I use the Polygonal Tool to outline the outside of the car

IPB Image

Then copy and paste that outline into a new window.
Then use the polygonal tool to delete the parts of the car that shouldn't have color (headlights, windows, etc)

IPB Image

Copy the outline back to the original picture and line it up with the car.
Add a color overlay and select the color you want.
Change the blend mode to "soft light"

IPB Image

Then I locate rims that are on the same angle as the car..
Use the polygonal tool to outline the rims then move them to the image

IPB Image

Use the polygonal tool to select the windows and copy and paste them to make a new layer
add a color overlay and use the opacity to change the darkness of the tint.

IPB Image

Next select the entire top part of the picture above the tires, then drop the top part of the image down to lower the car on the rims.

save and you are finished:

Nice little tutorial. Daniel have you ever messed with the pen tool? You can use masks to do the same thing.
what about the wand, isn't that faster?
