well i just ordered a dry shot nitrous kit, the kit comes with several different sized jets from a 10shot up to 100shot, so im prolly just going to be running like a 25-30shot to keep it safer. as soon as the kit comes in i'll get it installed and post some pics up! im really curious as to the results i will get.
just ordered a nitrous kit!! - 6G Celicas Forums
nice! how much was it??? if u could, post a vid when u get it too plz
so you're going boost + nos ???
Turbo install made possible thanks toTeamJ.D.M.officially 5SFTE junior member~*MuH NeW RiDe*~
dry kits are tough, man....be carefull how big a jet you put in there..without any additional fuel added when the nitrous hits, you ARE going to be running lean.
good luck.
good luck.

and what about the timing???? what do he can do with the Knock sensor???

Celica ST202
im going to be running really small jets from a 10shot up to maybe a 35shot at most so i should be fine. the kit was only $300with shipping from dynotune performance. i dont expect to run the car hard either and i will only run the nitrous on certian occasions lol.. i do plan on upgrading stuff for my fuel system, i already have the 255 walbro fuel pump in there, so i'll prolly get an PFR with it, and prolly larger injectors down the road.. also anybody know what size injectors i should get??
i could tell you what size injectors to get, but then you will go and ignore my advice ... just as you have when you picked up this kit
Dave from dynotune is a good guy and he has a great product... did you speak with him before you ordered this ?
if you go to his site, and look for celica kits they are ALL wet kits.
Dave's dry kit is a MAF kit ... and so no this will not work on your car ... you are asking for trouble.
again
you either need a wet kit, or a dry kit that adds fuel by bleeding some n2o to your fuel pressure ragulator's reference port (NOS gen 2 dry kit or zex dry kits)
otherways to do dry setups would either require a MAF, or a standalone (at least a dual tuned computer sometimes called a 'flip chip' where the n2o activation flips you into a different injector duty cycle map (that would be DYNO TUNED) to your shot.... )...neither which you have
I am PRO n2o. But this is not the right setup for your car.

so why wont a larger fuel pump, FPR, and larger injectors work?
>
wouldnt you be running rich whenever you werent using the nitrous oxide

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
well the fpr is adjustable, so when i dont use the nitrous i can have it turned down
No he means even while you are running with it set for Nitrous but not actually injecting it at the moment it will run rich.

exactly, its not going to adjust on the fly while you are driving

Much better put. that's what I was trying to say.
Bottom line - you are going to damage your engine with this setup. Running that rich [or lean depending] and then all of a sudden spraying is not going to go over well.

is there a way i can convert my dry kit to a wet kit?
remember when i tried to tell you NOT to get a dry kit, nate?
15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
they make a conversion kit for it so im ok
but NuclearHappineS was saying theres a way to Tee of the main nitrous line to the FPR refference port?? and it adds fuel accordingly up to a 65shot?? can i do that?
you can't make your own Tee unless you know alot about nitrous/gasses.
Nitrous is sitting at 600+psi in the manifold...
if you tee that directly to your FPR, your FPR will see 600 psi and probably get destroyed in the process.
the tee has a restriction in it so that for example 600psi n2o gives you 40psi for example...so 900psi would give you 60 psi...etc
it's ratiometric, which is how the kit adjusts fuel based on bottle pressure making it safer than a static dry kit.
I would not venture to do it myself, although (from some old magazines i had around i think one of them mentioned the size of the restriction jet...so i could probably get you tath info..... )

here is the info at your own risk ...and with a complication
Jetting for single fogger dry: (NOS)
40 shot .034n2o /.044 fuel <<this sounds incorrect btw
50 shot .032 n2o /.042 fuel
60 shot .034n2o /.042 fuel
70 shot .041n2o /.036 fuel
80 shot .044n2o /.034**fuel <<this sounds incorrect too
Zex Kit (#82011)
55hp .032 n2o /.036 fuel
65hp .035 n2o /.034 fuel
75ho .038 n2o /.032 fuel
clearly the 'fuel' bleed depends on how you desgin the bleed T. This is the complication ... your FPR has to see regualr engine pressure when not on n2o. Then when you spray you have to bleed the n2o to the FPR ...somewhere in there i believe there is a check valve...
there's alot to figure out if you want to figure this out from the ground up

hey thanks alot for that info,, i do think it would be smarter for me just to get the conversion to wet shot, its not to expensive and would be alot eaiser to do.
also, with the aftermarket FPR what psi should i have it set to for running nitrous?

did you already buy it, you don't need it

ya i already bought it.. i dont need it for a wet kit? or a dry kit? or both?i thought for a dry kit i would need it.
well i got the nitrous kit installed and i have to say WOW its alot of fun,,lol..i'v only used up to a 20shot so far and you can deffinitly tell a difference. i went a head and put the FPR on there so iam running more fuel now. also when you open the bottle up to run the nitrous are you suppose to open the bottle all the way? or just partly?
