frotou 7agte build thread - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #45864 48 posts Started by frotou
Last year the engine was in break in period @ 8 psi. Nothing was going wrong exept ... for the oil consummation ; 1 quart every 300 miles. I decided to open the engine again to see. It was the fuc**** total seals rings who dosen't do their job. So for 2k7 ;

act xtrem pressure plate and 6 puck (w/o spring) disc

custom aluminium race intake

beside the manifold/turbo

arias 82 mm piston/rings

pauter rods (already in motor last year)

block bore to 82 mm

No more blue this year

Now waiting for some parts to reasemble the engine. More pics later.

looks good you're doing amazing things!

(but glad your cleaning up the colour smile.gif )
looks awesome!! that plenum on that intake manifold is huge!

Visit My Automotive & Tech Blog.
very nice cant wait to see the numbers also i had that same clutch and long story short didnt hold the power

yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte
dude..that intake is nuts. Who made it?/how much did it cost? I would love to get a custom made one for a 5s. I officaily think we need a Canadian Celica meet..like work with the guys from Ontario MR2club and maybe go with them to Kingston for their meet.
I reached 200 whp last year and I restarted new things for the celi.

-aquamist water injection
- hks gt3037 turbo
-hks gt-2 wastegate
-hks timming belt conversion
-custom one sided intercooler with 3 inch piping
-custom 3 inch ss exhaust
-greddy 720 cc injectors
-professional products 75mm throttle body
-custom electric power stearing
-electric water pump with controller (davies craig)
-abs removed
-engine bay color change
-full wire tuck
-earl's fitting and line

More things later .

"God created turbo lag to give V8's a chance"
The only problem I would see with your setup is the wastegate placement... It's really not the best... The exhaust air flow must do a complete 180° turn to go to the wastegate route. It will be hard to stay at low boost on this big turbo (relatively compared to a 7AFE engine). You may experience boost creep because of that and the 38mm wastegate.

Otherwise, you did some good work!!!! Congrats!!! The engine bay paint is really nice!

Sam
pitcelica ; the 38mm wastegate and the turbonetic turbo was my old setup and boost control wasn't an issue ; even at low boost . Some pics of the new stuff . biggrin.gif

hks gt3037

earl's fitting and lines

All the electronics are all on this plate for easy troubleshooting and wiring

I redone all the wiring with quick disconnect harness

Reassemble the engine with the hks wastegate, gt3037 turbo and shimed oil pump.

where does the gigantic aluminum plate sit? did they add a large obscure feature in the ST's i dont know about? laugh.gif

sexy looking engine man.. what comp are you running on the pistons?
The aluminum plate with all the electronic will be located under the passenger carpet . I run approx. 9.5 C/R with the pistons, bloc, head and headgasket I use .
looking really nice. one suggestion you should get some of that rubber weatherstrip edging to put on the cut edges of your wiring plate so that the wires cant rub and get damaged
Werd. What's up with this, frotou?

I use the stock at200 gearbox ( c56?) .... Gearbox will be another ''project'' later , I have to make it run and tuned now ....

Sorry for the update , the car was stored for the winter.

Some new pics and more to come !
