I have my days.

Some days I want to quit, some days I want to trip my boss in the hall way, some days I want to drink my a** off, & SOME days I want to do all of the above...

But every once in a while there are days where I like my job..& thats when my supervisor is on vacation Lol.

Oooh & this year...I get 6 weeks of paid vacation. So while Im on vacation I will definitely love my job biggrin.gif
Not hate.. but annoyed.. im switching dealerships! =]
My job is getting pretty lame pretty quick...

I work at a Vet... Anyways... Yesterday for example... I got my arm clawed up by a lil puppy (so it looks like Im suicidal now with all the cuts on my arm), I had to help put a dog to sleep, and then help inseminate another... I honestly think you DONT wanna hear what I had to do for that... O_o

My job is intresting, but I dont get paid enough to do this weird s**t...

I'm just sick of doing NOTHING.

seriously noooothing.

I have a paralegal degree that i pretty much worked my ass off for. I had to take weekend classes so i lost a lot of my free time. I got awesome grades and passed with a 3.85. I did this because my grandfather (a lawer, who i work for) wanted me to work full time for him and take on more responsibility.

Before i took the classes I was working part time as a secretary. Another woman worked the morning.

So i get my degree, he fires other lady, i work 9-5. Sounds great right? WRONG!!!!!!!!!!

I do NO paralegal work whatsoever. It sucks. My grandfather is very old fashioned and really just needs someone to answer his phone. Not to be an ass but i think i'm overqualified to be sitting around answering phones.

I should be doing everything but going to court, and i know how to.

i hate this.

I got sick of changing tires. Always pissed me off when people would come late, and we would still have to work on their cars. Now, I am just a full-time student and having a great time. Just money is a LOT lower than before.

well i actually do like my new job. (new as of sept)

but im growing very tired of my career path with college. I believe its mostly my college, today for the 3rd time in less then 2 years, I have been called stupid (in a round about way) to my face by 3 different teachers. I understand that I am by no means the brightest bulb in the pack, and i dont act to be, nor do i want to be, but how am i suppose to approach a teacher for help, when after 5 minutes of talking to them, i feel like the dumbest person alive? Not very good teaching style....idk im very tired of being put down on by my teachers on a regular basis.

my job is okay. the people i work with kind of irritate me, though.

i'm moving to a different engineering department in may, things should improve.

my weekend gig at the bike shop is AWESOME.

do you know who i am, mr. worley?
Sounds like I wasn't the only one who had a bad day.
I have worked at the same machine shop for 8 1/2 years.
At one time it was one of the best prototype shops in the
the northwest. I worked for a brilliant mechanical engineer
who has designed lots of very complicated machines, including
a couple for nasa. His son took over the business a couple of years
ago and things have really changed. We have gotten bigger and switched
more towards a production type environment. I still do the same sort of
work but I can see the reputation of the place going downhill fast.
I like the boss and his dad but I'm ready to jump ship. I kind of feel
bad because they have been good to me over the years, but at the same
time I think I have to leave to keep my sanity. Working for your family
would be really tough.

JDM guy made me do it.
I love my job. I love working on cars.

Every once in a while a junker will come in and I get stuck working on it and I get frustrated because it pisses me off when people dont take care of their cars.

But other than that its awsome. My boss and the other mechanics are all really cool.
i love my job at REI its so tight
i get irrated with mine somtimes, only if i cant find someones house or i dont get a tip (i deliver pizzas) i dont like to rack up miles on the celica so i drive my daily beater the crown vic which a 4.6 litere v8 so gas is a joke
My job isn't the greatest sometimes, but it is better than being a cook at a bar and grill (like i was through high school and juco). I am an student worker/intern at NIU's Career Services office. I have 3 bosses that I have to report to. I feel like Peter from officespace. lol

I want your job.

I like my job, yet at the same time, I hate it. I like it cuz it's the college bookstore on campus. Nothing much goes on during the middle of the semester, so you pretty get paid sitting on your ass or just playing around a bit. My manager's kool and so is the text book manager. Inventory manager's kinda anal though. The district manager's a pretty cool and laid back person. She acts like a high school from time to time to make the day a bit more fun.

Only reason I hate my job is that during the middle of the semester, business slacks, and so does the hours. They pay is no better either, but it beats minimum wage. I'm in the process of looking for a second job.

Thats not weird - thats called wanting more out of life, an extremely healthy instinct. I suspect that the longer you wait, the more frustrated you will become and the more you will kick yourself later.

QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
You're right. I know. My original plan was to wait till he retires ( he's 77) put apparently you never get too old to practice law.

I'm only getting frustrated because I'm loosing skills, and in my opinion that's not something I should be getting out of my job. I should be learning NEW skills.

I'm drafting my résumé tonight and I’m going to see what jobs are out there. I’d really like something with real estate law, but at this point I’ll take what I can get.

edit: i can not spell.

Well I guess I could have been more detailed.. 3 people, including myself, support all IT equipment for a 40-school District. I spend a good portion of the day inside the Celi driving to all the schools and closing out work orders. On a rare day (usually every other Friday) the calls will be real slow/ no calls at all, so I will be sitting out at my office at one of the High Schools just chillin' for a few hours. Its a real nice way to end a busy week to just sit back and relax and surf some 6GC. smile.gif

my last job blew the big one... working at a car wash in wisconsin in the winter. outside/in a garage with the doors open and no heat...in a sweatshirt. i also got paid minimum wage, worked every saturday and sunday morning, and was on call basically for whenever they needed me. now i gotta job cleaning an office building after hours when nobody is around, and i get to listen to music all night and get paid $2 an hour more... life is looking up now
i'm an administrative assistant for a senior accountant in a pretty big accounting firm.... but I'm only busy for like, 2 months out of the year, from May - February I am insanely slow, doing LITERALLY nothing, and trying to make myself LOOK busy. It's horrible, the pay isn't great... but I love the people I work with, and when it is busy, I love my job... so I just can't bring myself to find something else. Oh well, I'll live with it.
