Brake lines connections - thread size and pitch - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #46221 8 posts Started by valerit1
Could you guys tell me the thread size and pitch for the brake line connections -
the small ones where they meet at the junctions, for example.
Thanks!

Hey Coomer. I know it's a little late but if you still need those Swagelok or Parker P/N's I got the book not 2 feet away. I'm telling you Parker A-lok is the way to go - swage them once and forget about them.
Be glad to help.
Thanks, but - are you sure? 1/8 npt perfectly fits there - well, not "perfectly'
but quite acceptable.

Highly possible and 1/8npt is a tapered thread so as long as you use pipe dope or teflon tape and be sure the fit is at least close you should have no leaks. Remember that brake lines are fairly high pressure and very important. You don't want to loose pressure at the wrong time.
it's probably not npt. i would guess to be bspt very similar i think it's one thread off.

That's alright man...I'm just going to re-use some of the factory fittings. smile.gif

And I'm almost positive that they're 10x1.0.

Actually same thread pitch but straight thread - not tapered. That's why NPT will work even though it's not the right one.
