Well, from what ive seen there really is no way to gain any significant performance cheaply....it all comes with money, and eventually you'll have a well tuned engine. Although your 2.0 engine has much more performance acessories available than the USDM Celicas do, so feel lucky. >

> Heres a few things to look into and research that would give you a little more edge on your performance-
1.) Intake setup
2.) Cat-back Exhaust
3.) Header
4.) Underdrive pulley
or even....
5.) Stage 1 clutch- better handling of engine power for acceleration
6.) Lightened Flywheel- Can deliver more crank horsepower to the ground, meaning more power/accereration.
The first four mods together would give you a noticable gain, but nothing too impressive....although the last 2 would change the nature of the car more dramaticly. Then, at that point you can upgrade your fuel system and ignition components to deliver more fuel and ignite it better to create yourself a well-tuned N/A engine...or add on a turbo or supercharger for some serious boost. But just take a look in the performance section on the forums and the parts database on this site, and get to know whats available. Good luck, and welcome to the site >
