ok this may sound stupid lol but anyway ive had my 7afte setup for a while now and im ready to put my supra mkIII injectors in along with my apexi stand alone fuel controler .... i know how to put everything in but a crash course in seting it up and tuning it would be nice if somone could help lol

what do you mean apexi standalone ?

are you talking about the AFC neo or the PowerFC ?

its called apexi super airflow converter see told ya id sound stupid haha

SAFC = Super AirFlow Converter

standalones actually replace the ECU with a new one
piggybacks do what the SAFC does, tap into existing lines and alter.

to tune you want a wideband most likely
the other easy way to do it would be to basically take stock injector size compared to the new injectors and figure out what -% you need to run...
since you are boosting, it may even go up.

I'd get a wideband or pay someone to tune the S-AFC
a shop will prob charge ~300 for a s-afc tune on a dyno

i just installed a wideband aem sensor but i was tryn to find out how to tune it w/o takn it to a shop

start doing low throttle checks, where you just kind of cruise up the rpms and correct that part of the map using the s-afc.
be conservative here, as the s-afc only has a low and high throttle, so from the throttle youa re applying to get there, to what the max u can apply to me there and be in low throttle will be different.

i'm guessing somehow the ecu has a map big enough to see boost w/ the afm, so yea...it will most likely just be some +%'s to make sure you are rich to help cool.

just get a friend do drive your car after you do part one, and sit in the passenger seat taking good notes of the AFR's...
change accordingly.

rich is safer than lean, and in the end paying for a tune IS worth it.
